Applying for U.S citizenship is a long process that requires forms, an interview, and a test. The naturalization process is done though the federal department of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. In order to start the process you need to have lived in the U.S. for five years, have a basic level of English, and a clean criminal record.
