International Communities in Anchorage

Tradition Tuesday 

As part of “Welcoming Anchorage”, the Municipality conducts Tradition Tuesday which occurs in the Loussac Library Atrium from 6:00pm-7.00pm once a month. 

Tradition Tuesday is a platform for communities and cultural groups to showcase their community and culture. Tradition Tuesday is an opportunity for you to learn about the diverse cultures that make Anchorage unique.

Consular Offices

Anchorage has two Consular offices for Japan and the Republic of Korea, and then several honorary consuls, mostly for European countries, with Canada, Philippines and Seychelles being the expectations.

Community Groups

Anchorage has become home to people from far and wide, which has led to many different community groups around town. These groups provide support for newcomers and take part in events that share their culture.
